What is Nic Salt?

Nic salts are a relatively new addition to the vaping market and are commonly known as salt nic, nicotine salts, or salt nicotine. Standard e-liquids contain what is known as ‘freebase nicotine’, whereas nic salts contain a naturally occurring, organic form of nicotine extracted directly from the tobacco leaf. The secret ingredient that makes nic salts work is the addition of an acidic compound, such as benzoic acid. This allows the nicotine to vapourise at lower temperatures and increases the bioavailability of the nicotine molecules when they reach your lungs. This allows for a much smoother throat hit and delivers more nicotine to your body when compared to freebase nicotine, meaning you get more nicotine out of less juice. This makes them ideal for ex-smokers looking to ditch cigarettes and stop smoking.
