What is DIY Vaping?

DIY vaping is perhaps the oldest form of vaping, before premade coils and simple to use vape pods were widely available. In the past, vapers would build and wick their own coils for their mod devices, which meant understanding ohm’s law and having a strong understand of wattages, currents, resistance and more.

Since the rise of disposable vapes and as cheap and simple vape kits have become widely available, DIY vaping has become more of a hobby than a necessity. However, there are many advantages to DIY vaping which still make it the go to vaping style for many vapers.

What are the Benefits of DIY Vaping?

• DIY vaping is the cheapest way to vape over the long term. You can buy a 3m spool of coil wire, a pack of cotton wick for just over £10 which can last you several months, whereas a single 5 pack of premade coils can cost around the same amount alone.
• DIY vaping can provide incredible flavour from e-liquids. With sub ohm coils, a higher wattage and heat and even a dual coil set up, DIY vaping can produce maximum flavour from thicker 70/30 VG/PG e-liquids.
